Berthing
‘A’ Golf Provincials is a 12-team tournament
Each of the 9 BCSS Zones will receive one automatic berth (plus host berth).
1 berth allocated based on the ratio of active golf programs in each BCSS zone, awarded to zones with the highest ratios.
1 berth awarded to one team with the best non-qualifying scores from zone championships, using course rating, slope, and team scores for comparison.
If a zone is unable to fill its berths, the vacant berth will be reallocated based on strength.
Zones need to confirm their intent to send teams to provincials by May 8th.
Tournament Structure
The Championships will consist of a two (2) day event, with 18-holes being played each day. The team with the with the lowest total score for the 36 holes shall be crowned Provincial Champions.
Foursomes:
No two players representing the same school shall be in the same foursome.
Round 1: Golfers will be placed according to team placement and seeding (eg: Number 1 golfers play together)
Round 2: Golfers will be placed according to their first day team totals with #1 golfers playing with each other.
