Berthing
Berthing for the 2025 BCSS Cross Country Championship has been allocated based on the berthing ratio of the previous 5-year rolling average of teams competing at zone championships, in consultation with the Cross Country Sport Advisory Committee (SAC).
- Medical Exemptions are due to BCSS Staff by Oct 23rd at 9:00am, these can only be submitted by your Zone Rep to the SAC. For more information refer to Section 1042.2 in the BCSS Handbook.
- BCSS is excited to once again offer Provincial Championship opportunities for Athletes with Exceptionalities (AWE). The AWE classification will be determined based on participation at zone championships - For more information refer to
Race Structure
The 2025 Cross Country Championships will be comprised of nine separate categories and each of the races will be run separately. (The ‘A’ & 'AA' races will be combined but scored separately).
Racers are required to run on the marked trails of their corresponding category. All racers must have a competition bib to compete in the provincials.
- Senior Boys (A/AA/AAA) – approximately 5 km
- Senior Girls (A/AA/AAA) – approximately 5 km
- Junior Girls and Boys – approximately 4.1 km
- Para – approximately 2 km

Saturday, November 1st (Race Day Schedule)
* ‘A’/’AA’ races may be two separate races if the 'A' race has at least 100 runners.
Races will commence according to the posted schedule. Athletes should be warmed up and ready to race when called to the start line.
Start Lane/ Box Allocations – this section will be updated after October 27th.
