Tournament Berthing Process

There are 16 berths in each of the 4 Provincial Championships.
  • Each zone champion (9 zones) is awarded a berth.
  • Two berths are awarded to the zones with the highest team registrations.
    • If two or more zones are tied with the number of registered teams for the 2nd largest zone, each zone will receive a berth.
  • Remaining berths are considered ‘at large’ berths and awarded by the Berthing Committee for each tier.
  • If a zone does not have any registered teams in a specific tier, their zone champion berth will be reallocated into the ‘at large’ berth pool.
  • Berthing committees will meet and award ‘at large’ berths no later than Feb 5th.

Notes:
  • ‘AA’ – South Fraser and Vancouver Island have the same # of team registrations so both zones were awarded an extra berth in addition to their zone champions.
