Berthing
Provincial tournament berth allocations are determined by the BCSS Rugby Berthing Committee, who is named by the Executive Director, with support from the Rugby SAC Chair. Every zone is represented on the committee. No half or shared berths are awarded.
The Committee have examined the following metrics to determining berthing:
Current season results; exhibition, regular season, Cross-Zone games etc.
Number of registered teams in each zone
Historical strength of zones and teams within the zones.

XV’s or 7’s Team Declaration Deadline: April 22nd, 2026
Deadline for Zones to Decline Allocated Berths: May 1st, 2026
Zone Championships Completed: May 19th, 2026

Tournament Structure
Girls XV’s: The Girls Rugby XV’S Championships will each consist of 12 teams split into two brackets. The Championship Bracket will consist of the teams seeded 1-8. The Challenger Bracket will consist of the teams seeded 9-12. Bracket allocations are determined by the BCSS appointed seeding committee.
Boys AAA XV’s: The Boys AAA Rugby XV’s Provincial Championships consist of 16 teams split into two tiers of eight (8) teams. Each team will play in a championship bracket or consolation bracket. Bracket allocations are determined by the BCSS appointed seeding committee.
Boys AA XV’s: The Boys AA Rugby XV’S Championships will each consist of 12 teams split into two brackets. The Championship Bracket will consist of the teams seeded 1-8. The Challenger Bracket will consist of the teams seeded 9-12. Bracket allocations are determined by the BCSS appointed seeding committee.
